Mid November the traveling Festival of Indigenous Film will come to Lima. It has been on the road since August and visited various cities. Now it is coming to Lima in the light of the upcoming COP 20 and COP Indigena conferences.
The festival will feature films, music and forums from indigenous organizations.
The indigenous film festival starts with a film produced by the Interethnic Association for the Development of the Peruvian Rainforest organization (AIDESEP). Also films from Nicaragua, Honduras, Brasil, Perú, Indonesia, Ghana and Liberia will be shown. Questions as “Who protects our forests?” are going to be discussed. Promoting awareness of climate change and the effects of climate change on indigenous people is one of the goals. The travelling festival will leave Lima on the 22th of November. A closing event will be held at Victoria Bar.
