From October 13th to October 15th, the Fifth Annual Chancho al Palo Festival outside of Lima will take place in the town of Huaral.
It is expected that about thirty thousand people will attend the event which will feature 50 exhibitors, all of which are required to prepare the famous “chancho al palo”, or roasted pork, as a way to celebrate the tradition behind the popular dish.
Apart from the main attraction of being able to bask in the deliciousness that surrounds them, spectators will be able to enjoy modern and traditional music and several art shows.
Along with the varied and delicious food, attendees will also be able to enjoy art shows, modern and traditional music and many other attractions.
A presentation of the Horses of Paso de Huaral will kick off the festivities on the 13th during a very entertaining opening ceremony to inaugurate the event.
