Peruvian´s most famous chef, Gaston Acurio, is heading to Paris to open a new restaurant. The restauarant is called Manko and is located on Montaigne Avenue, just beside a theater. Customers will experience Peru´s famous gastronomy in an auction hall that boasts a rugged atmosphere.

Acurio declared it a ´´space devoted to leisure that will bring Peruvian rejoicing, fun and sensuality to Paris.´´ Acurio owns 45 restaurants that are located in 11 different countries. As he is considered one of the top-notch chefs in Latin America, it is exciting that he will be taking his famous cuisine to Paris.

In 1991, Acurio enrolled in Le Cordon Bleu Paris. Paris is where he learned everything that has brought him to where he is today. Acurio asserts that Paris inspired his love for his homeland, his respect for Peruvian cuisine, and the desire to achieve excellence.

Acurio recently released a book of special Peruvian recipes that most people don´t cook anymore. He will be taking these recipes to Paris with him, as his restaurant Manko will feature anticuchos, ceviches, and other typical Peruvian dishes.

He also plans to serve Peru´s famous Pisco and turn Manko into a nightclub on Friday and Saturday nights. All of Peru is itching to see Acurio´s success in France´s famous city.
