The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) of Peru is undertaking measures to prevent and eradicate child labor and promote adequate adolescent labor conditions in Lima Metropolitan Area.
To this end, MTPE has set up the Multisectoral Coordination Bureau on Worst Forms of Child Labor in Lima Metropolitan Area.
The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion in Peru (MTPE) has opened a Multisectoral Agency to prevent child exploitation and human trafficking for labor exploitation. This is part of a National Strategy in Peru for Prevention and eradicatio of Childlabor for 2012 – 2021. Deputy Minister of Labor Alfonso Adrianzen announced this news at a meeting with representatives of other Ministries such as Ministry of Energy and Mines, the Women Ministry, Interior Ministry as well as the Ombudsman’s Office and others.
According to Adrianzen it’s very important all organizations work together in order to achieve mayor results in eradicating child labor, to promote adequate adolescent labor conditions in Lima as well as to improve the life of Peruvian children and teenagers in Lima.
