Peru Places at International Math Competition

Peru placed third at the Romanian Master of Mathematics, an international competition for mathematics held in Bucharest, Romania from February 22nd -27th.

Three students represented the country of Peru at the competition: Daniel Rojas Cruz from Huánuco, Diego Lázaro Cusihuamán from Lima, and Daniel Benavides Quispialaya from Junin.

The competition was also overseen by a fellow Peruvian, Jorge Tipe Villanueva, part of the Olympic Peruvian Comission on Math.

While over 17 countries were represented, only three were represented by Central and South America, including Peru.
