Peru participated in the World Tourism Fair in Paris during from 19 till 22nd of March. Peru’s appearance at big events like this are very important and this will increase the number of tourists traveling to Peru, is what Magali Silva Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism – said.
Positive news for the country of Peru, as Peru will take great advantage out of this.
About 500 local and international companies attended the fair that is considered one biggest in the world. More than 100 000 visitors and over 1000 journalists attended the fair.
It was the 40th edition which was celebrated with the international campaign: ‘Peru, land of hidden treasures.’
Peruvian music, traditional clothing and Peruvian cuisine were performed at the fair. Peru is trying to continue their expansion by attending more travel fairs in Europe.
Earlier this year, Peru had already participated in the ITB fair in Berlin. The ITB is worldwide used as a platform within the field where professionals, as well as media representatives come together.
Other big fairs are being planned out at the moment, due to the positive effects of it for tourism in Peru.
