The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has predicted that the economy of Peru will probably register a growth of 3.6%, while Latin America as a whole will record only 1% growth.
Countries such as Brazil and Argentina are expected to register – 8% and -1% respectively. It’s thanks the number of Peru as well as to Mexico (growth 2,9%) and for instance Colombia (3,3%) that the total number for Latin America is positive. According to the Secretary General of the OECD, Angel Gurria, the Latin American countries are losing strenght and the economic growth is deminishing. Although the economies “took 50 million people out of extreme poverty”, we have to be carefull. However, at the same time there is hope for Latin America to reverse the slowing down by taking some structural reforms.
