For the second year in a row, the Peru brand logo “Marca Peru” was in a big billboard in New York’s Time Square, to promote new and famous tourist destinations in Peru.
Three giant screeens displayed short parts of the documentary “Recordarás Perú” (You will remember Peru) and were watched by over 1 million visitors of the Times Square area.
The Peru brand logo shined out by showcasing the way Peru’s sights, people, and culture have a lasting impact on visitors.
The ad spot was made by celebrated Peruvian film-maker Claudia Llosa and it was also showcased above Times Square’s American Eagle store.
Two years ago the brand Marca Peru was created when Peru invested 2.2 million dollars so launch a big promotion campain to promote Peru in the most important cities of Latin America and the United States. Peru is a magical place with one of the richests bio diversities. The most popular atraction is the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu but there is much more.
Peru wants to position the country as a multifaceted and captivating desination and the Time Square is a great place to do so.
