Formula One Driver Lewis Hamilton Visits Machu Picchu
Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton, best known in the world of sports as Lewis Hamilton, took the city of Cusco by surprise as he and his friends arrived and went immediately to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
The multimillionaire Formula One racer traveled incognito wearing a hat and sunglasses and did not arrive in the Imperial City accompanied by his famous red private plane.
The Mercedes Benz driver allowed himself to be photographed in the ancient Inca citadel, where he was accompanied by friends and collaborators of his personal staff.
“Got to enjoy Machu Picchu with my best friends, the Megazone team. I am forever thankful for these special people in my life,” wrote the Formula 1 racer on his Instagram page.
Lewis Hamilton was born in England, on January 7, 1985, is a Formula 1 driver, first with the McLaren team and then with Mercedes AMG, becoming champion in 2014, 2015 and 2017, and runner-up in 2016.
He has achieved 61 victories throughout his career in Formula 1 placing in the second overall position of victories achieved, in addition to 110 podiums, 72 poles and 37 fastest laps, is considered one of the best riders of all time.
