Foreign aid has arrived from neighboring countries to help in the flood relief efforts in Peru.
Ecuador was the first country to come to Peru´s aid, sending over a plane full of important supplies to Lima. This donation arrived on Sunday with instructions to distribute the materials to the areas urgently in need.
Colombia has also promised a generous donation of 30 tons of assistance as well as four helicopters to help the victims.
Additionally, the governments of Argentina, Chile, and the United States have promised to send humanitarian aid. Furthermore, the government of Peru has approved a budget of $1.35 billion to be put into the relief efforts this year.
