Whenever travelling through Peru, food is one of the most important adventures you must experience. Peru is famous for its intricate and tasty dishes. Gaston Acurio is one of the best Peruvians chefs who knows exactly how to make Peru´s spectacular cuisine even more delicious. Acurio is well-known all over the world and is becoming even more popular amongst English-speaking populations. He recently opened La Mar in Miami and helps run the 14th ranked restaurant, Astrid & Gaston in Lima, according to the World´s 50 Best Restaurants list by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
The well-respected chef, Acurio, will soon be coming out with his first English cookbook. It will have over 500 recipes of traditional home cooking from Peru. He will be working with Phaidon to publish his new work, but there is still no release date. Acurio gave us a little sneak peek, saying that the new cookbook will be, “Very easy to do, anywhere you are in the world, so you can have this Peruvian food culture in your house or as kind of a reference when there´s something you want to know to put some Peruvian soul in any recipe.”
Gaston Acurio also has plans to write two more cookbooks in English. He explains that the first one will be about travel and cooking throughout all Latin America. It will help present the art of all the great Latin American chefs and their amazing dishes. The third one will be an informative book regarding Peru´s recipes in different areas of the country. It will walk through history and space to present the true flavors of Peru. People from all over the world will be waiting expectantly for his new, English cookbooks.
