An earthquake has hit the city of Puno and Lake Titicaca with a magnitude of 6. Eight repetitions with a bit lower magnitude, between 3.8 and 4.3 on the Richter scale, hit the region again on Saturday.

At 1:09 pm, 60 kilometres east of Lampa, another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 hit Peru last Saturday.

In addition, a girl of five years died in a collapsed house in the damaged areas of Vila Vila, Ocuviri and Santa Lucia.

The geophysical institute of Peru (IGP) confirmed the magnitudes and reported 165 affected houses, 63 collapsed houses and 6 damaged colleges. Furthermore, 63 families are affected and 165 others are in the province of Lampa, Puno.
