An exhibition of Peruvian textile is hown during the Milano Design Week in Italy held at Ventura Lambrate (VL 2016). There is a total of over 70 pieces made by 23 different artists from the Ayacucho and the Lambayeque regions.
It shows the latest contemporary design innovations brought by renowned talents in Peru, independent studios, galleries, academies and institutions from all over the world.
The collection is called “Encuentro bajo el sol de los Dioses” (“encounter under de sun of the gods”) and shows designs representing ancient cultures.
The collection will be shown until the 17th of April this year. It shows the quality of the Peruvian craftwork and innovation, the used techniques are inherited from generation to generation.
Along with this Peruvian textile collection there are projects from over 30 countries for example: Finland, Norway, UK, Spain, France, Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Sweden, Russia, Switzerland and many more.
