Chiclayo expects over 30,000 visitors during Expo Peru Norte 2018
Probably over 30,000 visitors will visit the “Expo Peru Norte 2018” which will take place in Chiclayo, from the 26th to the 29th of April.
Since Lambayeque was affected by the Coastal El Niño phenomenon in 2017, the Peruvian government now aims at enhancing the reactivation of the Northern Region by presenting it as one of the top tourist destinations in Peru.
Provinces, amongst others the city of Chiclayo prepare themselves to welcome travelers who will visit the tourist attractions being offered, like museums, archaeological sites, churches, mansions and buildings that date back to the colonial and republican times. The highlight of the Chiclayo region is the tomb of El Sr de Sipán.
Besides historic attractions, the provinces also provide beaches and regional gastronomy, especially seafood and other rural products.
PromPeru, the Peruvian Exports, and Tourism Promotion Board, will head the so-called Norte Exporta 2018 International Macro-Business Round. 35 foreign, but also 15 domestic buyers and 95 exporting businessmen and businesswomen from Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Cajamarca, Amazonas and the Loreto Regions will take part in this event.
In total, there will be 265 stands and also a gastronomic and cultural festival. Apart from that, seminars and a macro-region investment showroom will be organized.
