6,000 tourists expected on Pisco Sour Celebrations
On the 3rd of February Peru will celebrate National Pisco Sour Day. This celebration aims at supporting the origins of the Pisco Sour. The El Cóndor hotel in Paracas will be the venue for the Pisco Sour Day. The CAPATUR, the Tourism and Foreign Affairs Chamber of Paracas, forecasts that around 6,000 tourists will participate in the festivity.
The celebration of Peru’s national beverage contains different activities. On the 2nd of February, the Queen of Pisco Sour will be elected, is in charge of the celebrations. The Queen of Pisco Sour will also supervise the Pisco Sour contests that will be organized in hotels and restaurants in Paracas and Pisco.
Apart from that, the CAPATUR will organize typical dances. The day after, people will be able to watch the Paso Horses in the Pasacalle, the bathing place of Paracas.
