Peruvian university ranks among best universities world-wide

One of Peruvians best universities is listed on the international QS Graduate Employability Ranking of 2019. This is a ranking of the universities where most students find a job within the first year after graduating.

The Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, or PUCP in short, is included in the list drafted by QS. This in Lima located educational institution ranks in the 251-300 category of the list. This makes the PUCP the 9th best university in all of Latin America. (more…)

The Sican Mask, an important artifact of the Sican culture, has returned to Peru after nearly 20 years of legal proceedings. The ancient mask had been stolen from Peru in 1999 and had ever since stayed at the international police organization Interpol in Germany.

The Colca Canyon, located in Southern Peru, is profiling itself more and more as an important tourist destination in Peru. Nearly 35.000 tourists visited this deep gorge last August. These numbers announced by the director of the Colca region David Valdivia.

This means that the Colca Canyon continues its positive tourism trend of last year, when nearly 33.000 tourists visited the canyon. In other words, approximately 1000 tourists visit this natural phenomenon every day.

Cusco expects to welcome 3 million tourists in 2018

The region of Cusco expects to have welcomed over 3 million tourists by the end of this year. This is the result after a calculation by the Cuscuenian Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism, or in short: Dircetur. This includes both national and international tourists.
