More than 100 Million Soles Used To Restore Historical Center Lima
The MML, the Metropolitan Municipality of the Peruvian capital Lima, will use more than 100 million Soles to protect, restore and remodel the Historic Center of Lima.
In 2018, Lima aims at recovering the facades of 20 buildings and monuments, but also of balconies by investing 4 million Soles. The restoration of the Teatro Segura, the oldest theatre in South America, and the Sala Alzedo require an investment of 60 million Soles.
Apart from that, 15 million Soles will be invested to restore the Manrique hospice in Plaza Francia. Furthermore, part of the money will be used for remodeling works in the Conde de Lemos cinema and the sports center of Conchucos as well as for the renovation of the Parque de la Muralla.
Since 1994, Prolima is responsible for the protection, restoration, and remodeling of 700 historical monuments, 1200 buildings and 68 urban environments.
