What is a fair price for a taxi in Peru?
Fair taxi prices depend on the city you are visiting. In general, taxis are more expensive in Lima because it's a huge city and distances are greater but also because it has a high cost of living than in other cities. In Lima, an average taxi ride might cost you between S/.10 – S/.30 but it totally depends on the distance. In Cusco and other smaller cities, an average taxi ride inside of city limits should cost around S/.3 or S/.8 (aprox. US$1 or US$ 2,50).
