The Peruvian coast features many different cities and places of interest. Lima, the capital city of Peru offers us a flourishing modern Peruvian culture and great beaches. The city of Ica with the beautiful oasis Huacachina as well as huge sand dunes, perfectly fit for sandboarding. And of course the famous Nazca Lines in Southern Peru, a mystery of ancient times that fascinates us until today.
The vibrant capital city of Peru is famous for its modern restaurants, gaining the Peruvian cuisine world reputation, its sandy beaches and of course the historical buildings and archaeological museums. The most famous district of Lima among tourists is called Miraflores.
Ica is a small city in the Southern coast of Peru. The small city provides plenty of tour adventures. Enjoy sand boarding on the huge sand dunes or enjoy the extraordinary environment of the Huacachina oasis in the middle of the dessert.
These huge geometrical lines have been created by the Nazca people, a culture living at around 600 BC - 200AD in the south of what today is Peru. Until today, the mystery around these lines is not completely resolved and fascinates every visitor.
The Paracas Peninsula and the Islas Ballestas form the Paracas National
Reserve, where pelicans, seals and penguins can be observed. On the
peninsula we find a large rock formation, the Candelabro de Paracas,
which resembles the Nazca lines but is significantly younger.
