The city of Sucre is located at a height of 2,810 meters, or 9,214 feet. Due to its altitude, the city experiences generally mild temperatures throughout the year. Although La Paz is the current capital of Bolivia, Sucre was originally named as Bolivia´s capital in the country´s constitution, and it was the city where Bolivia´s independence was claimed. During the city tour, you will get to know the most outstanding places of the city and explore the historical streets and unique colonial houses in the city of Sucre. The highlights include: the Main Square 25 de Mayo, the Liberty building, San Francisco Church, Central market, La Recoleta view point and the Bolivar Park.
We visit the Main Square of Sucre city, from where we keep walking to visit the House of Liberty (Casa de la Libertad), the University San Francisco Xavier Chuquisaca, San Francisco Church. We then visit Central Market, Bolivar Park and the La Recoleta viewpoint. Finally, we visit the Recoleta Museum.
