Description
This spectacular bus route runs between Cusco and Puno. Take the impressive tour either from Cusco or from Puno and enjoy a full day of exciting sightseeing. The bus will stop at various important Inca ruins and ancient landmarks while you enjoy the beautiful Andean scenery.
Andahuaylillas is also called the "Sistine Chapel" of America and is located close to Cusco. We will stop to see this hidden gem and you will have the possibility to wander through the charming streets of the town of Andahuaylillas. In Raqchi, we see the "Temple of Wiracocha". According to the old chroniclers the temple was built by the Inca in honour or Wiracocha, the supreme god and creator of all things. La Raya (La Raya Pass) is the watershed between the valley that drains into Lake Titicaca and the valley that leads down to Cusco and to the Sacred Valley. Being the first regional population centre in the northern Lake Titicaca basin during the late formative period (500 BC- AD 200), Pukara provides valuable insights into the origins of Andean civilization in the highlands.
