The trip begins in the city of Cusco (3,350 masl) early in the morning with the pick-up from your hotel. Our destination will be the exuberant region of cloud forest where the Andes mountains end and give way to the Amazon Rainforest. During the tour, we will visit the Chullpas of Ninamarka (pre-Inca burial grounds) and then head to the colorful colonial town of Paucartambo, which during the time of the Incas was a strategic trade point between the valley of Kosñipata or Antisuyo and the capital of Tahuantinsuyo, Cusco. We will ascend to Acjanaco (3,550 m.s.n.m.), the entrance to the National Park of Manu. After a short safety briefing, we will be ready to make the descent on our bicycles. During the descend, we will make several stops to enjoy the ecosystem. In the afternoon, we arrive at the hostel and weather permitting we will have our first contact the Amazon jungle.
We will leave for Atalaya port in the morning. The route will take us on a bicycle path, enjoying the landscape of the Peruvian jungle. After about 02 hours we will arrive at Atalaya where we embark to make a short trip through the waters of the Alto Madre de Dios river until arriving at the Lake MachuWasi. This lake hosts a great diversity of birds, and with a little luck we will be able to see the Capibara, the largest rodent in the world. In the afternoon, we will explore the jungle; the hostel has a system of trails where we can discover the great fauna.
