Leave La Paz and El Alto behind as we head to the Tiwanaku Archaeological Site. The 1.5 hour-long ride to Tiwanaku will take you on a scenic journey through the "altiplano" or high plateau region around La Paz and sacred Lake Titicaca. At the UNESCO recognized site we will explore the main temples, including the Pyramids of Akapana and Kalasasaya and the Gateways to the Sun and Moon. In addition to the traditional examples of Tiwanaku architecture, giant monoliths and figurative representations are scattered throughout the complex. We will also visit Pumapunku, known for huge monolithic stone structures that are still a mystery to archaeologists today. Be part of the mystery of this complex architecture and the hidden messages in each stone.
It is also possible to do Tiwanaku in a Full Day Tour and combine the archaeological ruins with Lake Titicaca. Contact us about this option.

I recently booked an excursion with Dos Manos to Puno and the Floating Islands on Lake Titicaca. It was a marvelous trip and I really enjoyed it!
When we came to your agency, it was for info on Salkantay trail. My wife and me are bilingual (French & English). We talked to Joseph a guy who speaks Spanish and French.
Just wanted to send you a note back from our trip. We had a great time, everything worked out really good,,the service by you and your company was excellent!!!
