Pick up from the hotel or the airport in Iquitos in the morning and transfer to a town called Nauta with our private car. The ride lasts for about 2 hours. After arrival in Nauta, we will go on the boats that will take us to our lodge, which is about 2.5 hours upstream the Maranon, Amazon, Ucayali and Yarapa rivers. After that, we will discover flora and fauna in the primary forest for approximately two hours. After having lunch, we will visit a typical Amazon village and go to the Ucayali river to watch dolphins. After dinner, we will do canoe trip to spot different nocturnal animals. We will spend the night in the Lodge.
We will start the second day with an early walk through the jungle to see different kinds of monkeys, insects, spiders in their natural habitat. After breakfast, we will do a tour over the Yarapa river with a motor boat for catfish and Piranha fishing, as well as bird watching. After lunch, we will do another hike through the jungle where the guide will explain us about medicinal plants and also teach us about the art of survival using the elements of the Amazon jungle. In the evening, we will have dinner and will do another hike to explore different kinds of insects and frogs. We will spend the night again in a lodge.
We will start the third day with an early canoe trip down the Yarapa river to spot different kinds of birds like Hoatzin, Scarlet Macaw, and the Toucan. After the breakfast, we go fishing for piranhas, catfish, and sardines in the lagoon near the lodge. After the fishing trip, we will return to the lodge where we will have lunch. Later, we will return to the city of Nauta and then to the city of Iquitos.
