This tour to the Paracas National Reserve is a perfect combination with the boat tour to the Ballestas Islands. Enjoy the fauna and flora of the Peruvian coast as well as the beauty of the ocean and the desert landscapes of this area. Your guide will explain all you need to know about the history of the region and the Paracas civilization. Did you know that "Paracas" means 'storms of sand' in the language of the ancient culture? You will have the chance to have a fresh seafood lunch at one of the local fish restaurants inside the reserve.
We recommend to take this tour in combination with the Tour to the Ballestas Islands.
The tour will start at around 10 am after the boat tour to the Ballestas Islands. Together with our guide we will visit the Bird Museum, where you will learn about the flora and fauna that in the national reserve. We will continue crossing the desert, following an unpaved road until we arrive at the 'cathedral viewpoint', an impressive rock formation created by the erosion of the wind. Here we will make a stop so we can take some pictures of the stunning view. Afterwards, we will visit different beaches like the La Mina, Playa Yumaque and Playa Roja. Finally, we reach the beautiful beach of Lagunillas where we can enjoy a good lunch and have a drink with view on the blue sea. After lunch, there will be free time and the possibility to go for a small swim in the sea. Around 3.30 pm we will be getting back to our car to drive back to the centre of Paracas.
