Laguna 69 Trek (5D/4N)

During the 5 days you will walk in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca enjoying a beautiful view of the Andean landscapes, passing through ancient Inca roads surrounded by beautiful forests and exotic high Andean flora, as well as rivers with crystal clear waters, lagoons and the impressive views on the pass "Punta Union" of the snowy mountains of the Cordillera Blanca such as: Alpamayo, Artesonraju, Taulliraju, Chacraraju, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, Huascarán, among others.


Itinerary

Day 1: Huaraz - Cebollapampa - Laguna 69

Transfer from Huaraz to Cebollapampa. Here we start with the walk which will take us 3h. until arriving at Lagoon 69 (4650 m.) After the visit, we started to descend which will take us approx. of 2h. until we reach Cebollapampa (3900 m) again, were our camp will be. Total walking time: 5 to 6 hours approx.

Day 2: Cebollapampa - Vaquería - Paria

Today we go by private transport crossing the pass of Portachuelo (4760 m.) Later arriving at Vaquería, where the muleteer wait for the transfer of the equipment. From this point we start the walk until Paria (3850 m), were we make our camp. Total walking time: 4 to 5 hours approx.

Day 3: Paria - Paso Punta Union (4.750 m) - Taullipampa

We start with the walk very early as this day is the longest and most difficult one, with an altitude difference of 900m. Today we will enjoy the beautiful view of the snowy mountains: Quitaraju, Taulliraju, Artesonraju, Huascarán, Contrahierbas. Later we start to descend to our camp in Taullipampa (4250 m). Total walking time: 7 to 8 hours approx.

Day 4: Taullipampa - Llamacorral (3750m)

Today we enjoy the snowy Alpamayo Mountain (5970m). Later during the walk we will see the Ichicocha and Jatuncocha Lagoons and the snow-capped Caraz, Quitaraju, Artesonraju and Alpamayo. Our camp will be in Llamacorral (3750 m). Total walking time: 7 to 8 hours approx.

Day 5: Llamacorral - Cashapampa (2900 m) - Huaraz

On this last day, the walk will be very easy going down to the end of the gorge of Santa Cruz and later to the town of Cashapampa (2900 m) where our transportation awaits us for the transfer to Huaraz. Total walking time: 4 to 5 hours approx.
