This tour takes us outside of Chiclayo into the fascinating setting of the Pomac Forest Historical Sanctuary near the city of Batán Grande. This area near Chiclayo became the political and religious center of the pre-Inca Lambayeque culture. In this mystical forest, we can find not less than 20 ancient pyramids. The predominant Sicán or Lambayeque culture is known for their elaborate funerary masks made of pure gold and the "tumi", ceremonial knives. Significant discoveries were made in the Huaca Loro. The many artifacts are now displayed in the Sicán National Museum in Ferreñafe.
