When is Christmas celebrated in Peru?

Like in many other countries, Christmas is also celebrated in Cusco on 24th and 25th of December. It is a very special time of the year to spend time with family and have a special Christmas dinner together. A great variety of dishes can be found during Christmas time in Peru, depending on the family and the region. Most families in Cusco gather on Christmas Eve to celebrate a big meal together, exchange gifts, and put baby Jesus in their Nativity Scenes at midnight on the 24th.
