To start your night off Indigo is highly recommended. With Thai and Peruvian food to enjoy here, this relaxing environment is the perfect place to decompress from a day of exploring Peru before your exciting night out. Coffee, juice and milkshakes are some of the beverages you can enjoy other than the alcoholic ones. This popular hangout has several games, free WIFI, hookah and also includes a swing inside. Located at Tecsecona 415 Cusco, this place is frequented by many travelers and Spanish students living in Cusco.
Dancing in Mythology
When you’re ready to move to a club for some dancing let me recommend to you Mythology. “Only for the Gods” Mythology is open Monday- Sunday 9pm-5am. Unlike other clubs Mythology has no entrance fee and often hand out free drink tickets. Open since 1999 Mythology has consistently been one of the more popular clubs in Cusco. They also hold salsa dancing lessons every night from 9-11pm.
Mama Africa, conveniently situated in the Plaza de Armas, offers ladies free and 10 soles entrance for men. Offering a wide range of music such as; Funk, Reggae, Electronic,Hip Hop, Latin Pop,Salsa and Samba as well. With happy hours from 8:30-11pm they sometimes also have live fire dancing. This club is perfect for everyone as they stress to “leave borders and flags behind, and remember that we are really all citizens of one world.”
Last but not least, The Temple located at Tecsecocha 282 just down the road from Indigo. With face painting, acrobats above the crowd of dancing people from all over the world, this club is always packed. With two stories there are plenty of places to dance as well as give yourself a break. Every Thursday is Ladies Night with every hour for the first 5 minutes.
Enjoy your night out in Cusco and be sure to go to bed early the day before your adventure trips in Cusco (rafting, biking, ziplining) or your Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
