Description

This is a great tour for those who love the outdoors and doing something adventurous. The biking tour descends from Cusco to the edge of the Amazon jungle, passing the traditional village of Paucartambo and the famous ‘Tres Cruces de Oro’ before reaching the edge of the jungle where it’s possible to see Peru’s national bird the famous ‘Cock of the Rock’.

Itinerary

Cusco - Paucartambo – Ajanaco

Day One:
We begin our tour in Cusco, where we take a bus to the town of Paucartambo, and from there take another service towards Ajanaco. From this point we begin our downhill ride to San Pedro where we will spend the night. You have the option to visit the famous “Tres Cruces” (Three Crosses) where we can see the sunrise and take spectacular photos of the optical illusions that are often seen there.

Day Two:
We continue biking downhill towards the village of Pilcopata, passing by very interesting small villages. We will have the afternoon free and in the night return to Cusco, a trip of approximately ten hours. An optional tour for the second day is to take a short hike to see the famous “Cock of the Rock”, Peru’s national bird.
