Located at 3700 meters above sea level, and 28 km. from Cusco on the way to Urubamba. The population lives in dwellings whose foundations and stone walls come from pre-Hispanic constructions,

Amauta Spanish School in Urubamba: The current school building is divided into a sleeping and a study/teaching area and has a lovely, sunny garden with fruit trees. The building is outside Urubamba, surrounded by snow peaked mountains and tipical houses. There is a large common room with a fireplace.
