GENERAL CONDITIONS

DOS MANOS Travel Agency accepts no responsibility whatsoever for cases of force majeure (unexpected or uncontrollable events) (according to law) or for passengers actions.
On registering for the tour, passengers accept the General and Payment Conditions and Payment Method, as well as the norms, rules and guarantees of DOS MANOS Travel Agency described in this document.
DOS MANOS Travel Agency cannot absolutely guarantee participants safety. We cannot be held responsible for personal injury or for client’s belongings, equipment lost or damaged.
DOS MANOS Travel Agency reserves the right to cancel or change any trip due to river, road, weather conditions, or political climate. We also reserve the right to cancel any trip due to client unsuitability because of age, ill health, poor fitness, intoxication etc.
Any missed tours due to the above listed incidences (eg weather conditions or political climate) cannot be refunded or recuperated.
DOS MANOS Travel Agency reserves the right to cancel the passenger’s place on a tour if they have not paid the total sum of the tour 24 hours prior to departure, UNLESS the passenger has made an alternative arrangement with DOS MANOS staff.
DOS MANOS reserves the right to work with other agencies if on certain dates they do not have enough people for a departure.
In the case where damages are caused to third parties, all the expenses claimed from DOS MANOS Travel Agency that originate from the above-mentioned incident will be charged to the client, who will have no right to later claims.
When a passenger cancels their trip, the refund shall be according to the decision taken by DOS MANOS, according to the General Booking Conditions.
DOS MANOS offers a generous discount policy. There is a 5% discount for people who sign up for the fixed departure dates for 2006. This discount can be combined with ONLY one of the following 5% discounts: Students of the AMAUTA SPANISH SCHOOL or Members of the South American Explorers; or ISIC card holders. If you are lucky enough to be able to combine discounts, please note you can only receive up to 10% discount.

Please note: ISIC card holders also receive a discount that is offered on entry to Machu Picchu.
THERE ARE NO DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE ON ACCOMMODATION, TRANSPORTATION SEGMENTS (eg. FLIGHTS OR BUS TICKETS).

INSURANCE

We recommend that all clients take out a travel or medical insurance policy in their home countries.
Passengers have responsibility to ensure that their travel or medical insurance policy covers the activity or sport in which they are participating. You may be required to show us a certificate of this insurance policy prior to commencement in the course.

REFUND POLICY & CANCELLATIONS

Before Arrival

Your 50% deposit is absolutely non refundable in case of the Inca Trail or any Machu Picchu excursion booking.
Your 50% is absolutely non refundable for all other tours except in serious situations (as described below):

In case of cancellation due to a serious illness or another serious situation the following procedures are applicable:

Cancellations will be accepted in writing only
In case of illness or pregnancy, a medical declaration that will be evaluated by DOS MANOS’ doctor, needs to be attached
In case of work, examination or military service, a declaration needs to be attached
DOS MANOS Travel Agency will evaluate the situation together with the client and will consider a PARTIAL refund of your deposit.

DOS MANOS Travel Agency will refund this amount at the latest 30 days after the CANCELLATION DATE, by either bank wire transfer or cash. Excluded from the cancellation procedures are the INCA TRAIL AND ANY MACHU PICCHU EXCURSION, plus the cost of services already utilized. There is a 20% administration charge for cancellations of flights.

CHANGES

The client will be charged a US $33.00 Administration Fee for all changes in programs, tours, etc. All changes are subject to availability. The real costs of the changes (e.g. the fee that airlines, transport companies or partner agency charge) will also be paid by the client.

PLEASE NOTE: Once booked it is IMPOSSIBLE to change the dates of an Inca Trail Departure.

COPYRIGHT

DOS MANOS Travel Agency reserves the right to use all possible photos taken during the client’s programs unless the student refuses permission.
